BCRP is a project of songs written by Sonny Votolato. Primarily acoustic music with some orchestral and sometimes moody feel. In some cases instruments come into play to relay texture to stories behind the songs. Piano, organ, violin, cello, flute, saw, and drums are what you can expect to hear periodically in the midst of the up-coming self-titled record which will release under esoterik records sometime this late spring or early summer. This is Sonny’s first solo effort although he has been an integral role in many bands in the Seattle area since 1994. The repertoire includes Fields of Mars, Lying on Loot, Bugs in Amber www.bugsinamber.com, and currently Slender Means www.slendermeans.com. They are in the network of many of the same talented individuals working together contributing to a great musical chemistry whatever project they are in. Sonny’s live show will more often than not be an intimate solo acoustic show but occasionally you will find more and more musicians joining the show. Come out and see BCRP any chance you get.
